It's 2020 baby!
Yes the start of a brand spanking new decade and I for one am so bloody grateful. An unthinkable amount of things have happened, good and bad, in the last ten years and I can't wait to see what the next ten bring.
So obviously we all have to make resolutions right? Every year it's the same tripe, "get fitter/ exercise more" "eat healthily" "drink more water" "save more money", which is excellent, if you actually do it.
I can hand on heart say that I've never stuck to a new years resolution ever in my life. But that still won't stop me saying that this year I am going to better myself, and these are the ways in which I would like to try.
1. Remember everyone's birthdays.
And actually buy my family members birthday presents. As the youngest and poorest of my siblings, this has always been a bit of a struggle for me, but one day I want to be able to treat them all like they deserve. So as soon as I get a steady income, that I will.
2. Tick more things off my bucket list.
If you know me well, you'll know about my bucket list. There's a long story behind it, but it started when I was 16 and has continued ever since. Big things and small things, there's lots to achieve, and the satisfaction of ticking things off is immensely rewarding.
3. Don't give up on things so easily.
I've always been the kind of person that gets bored easily, or gets distracted and moves on to something else. I don't want to be that person anymore. I want to be committed to something, to not give up, and maybe, just maybe, that might be my key to success.
Ideally I'd like to end this year in a much better place than where I've started. Employed, with a home, and a strong network of people around me. I'd be pretty happy with that.
