What's in my kit bag January 2021

I have a few new recent additions to my kit bag lately so I thought I would do a quick post about what kit I'm using at the moment.

My main camera body is the Canon 5D Mark IV, and my backup body is the Canon 5D Mark II. My go-to lenses at the moment for my portraiture are the Canon 70-200mm f4 and the Canon 24-70mm f2.8. My current flash is the TT560 Speedlight. I also have recently acquired the Mavic mini drone which I cannot wait to start playing with.

I have lots of other little bits of kit including filters and old lenses, however above are all my go-to pieces at the moment and I tend to rarely use anything else.

Finding the right kit for you is so important and it really depends on the kind of photography that you want to do and the brand of kit that you feel comfortable using. Different lenses are better for different things such as landscape/portrait or macro and it is up to you to find what works best for you. Decide the area of photography you are most interested in and invest in your kit especially for that.
